Description

NSI-189 is an experimental neurogenic compound originally developed for major depressive disorder. Indeed, NSI-189 treatment was associated with improved functional recovery in stroke-induced deficits. Parallel in vitro studies suggest NSI-189’s benefits may involve upregulation of neurotrophic factors (like BDNF and SCF) and mitigation of cell death pathways. In summary, NSI-189 is a promising neurogenic agent that enhances neurogenesis and synaptic connectivity, with ongoing research evaluating its potential in depression, stroke rehabilitation, and other neurological conditions.
